Introducting 'Northshore Women Rising'
A new Monthly column in the North Shore Navigator featuring women leading change in the Northshore region.
This article was published in the North Shore Navigator's May 2026 edition
Hi, we're Lexi and Mo, the founders of Northshore Women in Business, and we're so excited to introduce you to something we have been building.
We’ve been part of this community for six years, and it didn't take long to see what was right in front of us: women are running this town. From salon owners and wellness brands to restaurateurs and real estate pros, the entrepreneurial spirit here is alive and thriving. And it doesn't stop with business owners. Just as many powerhouse women are commuting to Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, and beyond, climbing the corporate ladder as executives, managers, and professionals who are making their mark every single day.
The more women we met, the clearer it became: the right connections were already here, waiting to happen. A marketing pro and a small business owner who needed her. A yoga studio and an overworked professional who needed an hour to breathe. A consultant and an
entrepreneur ready to expand. A retiree and a first-time business owner who could use her wisdom more than she knows. This community isn’t missing anything, it’s just missing the table where it all comes together.
That’s why we founded Northshore Women in Business, a community built to inspire, connect, and elevate women at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re a seasoned business owner, a professional looking to grow your network, someone with a big idea and no idea where to start, or retired with knowledge you want to hand off to the next generation of women, there’s a place for you here.
We’re building a community rooted in connection through networking events, workshops, and partnerships with organizations and businesses already woven into the fabric of this area. Our goal is to create spaces where real connections are made, resources are shared, and women genuinely lift each other up.
Because when one woman succeeds, we all succeed, and we’re here for all of it.
And we’re starting right here with Northshore Women Rising. Each month in the North Shore Navigator, we’ll be spotlighting one of the women making things happen in this community, her story, her work, and what drives her. We think you’re going to love getting to know them.
In the meantime, join us May 21st at Alba Wine Bar for our kickoff wine mixer at 6 PM. There will be wine, raffles, and a whole lot of community. We hope to see you there.
